News update!!
Since almost 6 month EA games, discontinued the service of the game. So the game won’t work anymore. Don’t be disappointed yet, because we still have a whole list of race games where you can choose of to play.
Important things to know:
With latest wrapper its mountain Lion compatible and speed is great! However some issues remain:
1.Don’t touch the in-game Chat window, so don’t confirm language (see also video), or game will freeze after a race or exiting garage.
2. because of the chat/freeze thingy, confirm the language only when doing stuff in the garage (repair/boost/pimp/whatever) and restart the game because it will freeze anyway.
The latest version of Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005) is 1.3 on Mac Informer. It is a perfect match for the General category. The app is developed by Need for Speed Most Wanted (2087Wine.wineskin. Need for Speed Most wanted combines the tuner customization of Need for Speed Underground with an expanded take on the police chases of the Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit series. In Need for Speed Most Wanted, users will also be able to go head-to-head with their opponents while simultaneously trying to avoid more than six different police cars at once. The open-world action in Need for Speed Most Wanted gives you the freedom to drive your way. Hit jumps and shortcuts, switch cars, lie low or head for terrain that plays to your vehicle’s unique strengths. Fight your way past cops and rivals using skill, high-end car tech and tons of nitrous.

World takes on the gameplay style of Most Wanted and Carbon, focusing on illegal street racing, tuning and police chases, and adds classic MMO elements to the mix such as special abilities. World also features the cities of Rockport and Palmont, the cities of Most Wanted and Carbon into its map design. The game currently features 94 licensed cars consisting of tuners, muscle cars and exotics.

Welcome to the “Need for Speed Hot Pursuit” for Mac game page. This page contains information + tools how to port this game so you can play it on your Mac just like a normal application. Check out the homepage for news and to search more game ports (over a 1000 awesome game ports!)
Simple Install Instructions:
– Download Porting Kit (if you don’t have it already).
– Get the Need for Speed – Hot Pursuit serial (if you don’t have it already)
– On the Porting Kit library –> server tab search for Need for Speed Hot Pursuit
– Click “Install” and let Porting Kit install the Windows Origin.
– After successful installation login into Origin and add the serial
– Go to your preferences of Origin and turn off “ingame Origin” and “Automatically update the game” (select-box). If you don’t do that, the game will freeze at launch. So make sure this is turned off , also when playing any other game in Origin. Then click play to start (will ask to update, don’t do that).
– Download the game (Origin will crash at the end of installation)
– Login into origin again and launch the game! Yep thats it!
